Manchester United Will win the Ship

With three games to go in the race for the Premiership title, Manchester United will win a record fourth title in a row after all has been said and done.

Manchester United have all the momentum in the world with their last gasp winner at City last weekend, and Chelsea have the added pressure of knowing they've already choked once, and might do it again. Manchester United will win out, I'm confident in that, but Chelsea is going to draw at liverpool, Torres or no Torres, and then the title will stay in Manchester for a record fourth year.

The Title Race is Back On

This past saturday, what looked like finished and done title race was blown open by a Manchester United win and a Chelsea loss.

Both sides frankly should have beaten but only the reds were able to pull it out in the 93rd minute. United were dominated all game by City's explosive offence and staunch midfield play. However it was United that celebrated when the ball glanced off little Paul Scholes' head into the side netting in the waning moments of the match.

Knowing that the pressure was on, Chelsea chocked in their match against tottenham, surrendering a two goal deficit within the first half. Gareth Bale was deadly on the wing and Chelsea couldn't come up with a solution for the Welsh wizard. With the 2-1 result in favor of tottenham, Chelsea now only leads Manchester United by one point with three matches to play.

United Knocked Out of Champion's League

This past Wednesday Manchester United was knocked out of the champion's league by Bayern Munich on away goals after Manchester won the replay at Old Trafford by a score of 3-2.

After some brilliant attacking play that brought them a haul of three goals within the first 40 minutes, United conceded a soft goal right before the break. United somehow allowed Olic of Munich to be one on one with Michael Carrick, a central midfielder, inside the penalty area with no one around them.

Olic was able to shrug off Carrick and somehow sneak in a shot from a very tight angle past Van Der Sar. This was a very similar goal to the one that United conceded in the last minute in Munich, where slack defending killed them again. Considering that the final aggregate was 4-4, with Bayern taking the advantage on away goals, I think it is safe to say that mental lapses in the back were ultimately United's downfall.

Rooney Out 2-4 Weeks

In the waning moments of Tuesday's match between Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Wayne Rooney, the 34 goal man from Man U, twisted his ankle, condemning him to 2 to 4 weeks on the sidelines. With Chelsea on the weekend and Bayern replay the next week, many believe that Manchester's chance at a third straight trip to the Champion's League Finals and their chance at winning at fourth straight Premier League title are shot. However I believe that Man U will pull through because of the play of Dimitar Berbatov. Berbatov has been on and off this season, managing to score 12 goals this campaign. However Berbatov has been playing in Rooney's shadow this entire season. When he was at Tottenham, he was the main man and performed brilliantly. I believe he will step his game up now that he is in the spotlight, and will carry Manchester United on his back to glory.
